Architecturally designed by BBP Architects, the home is a 520m2 solar passive contemporary residence that blends seamlessly into the natural surroundings.
External finishes predominantly include natural stone, glass and vertical cedar shiplap boards. The residence has a “floating” appearance with the cantilevered slab and “batwing” eave line.
From a sustainability perspective the home is double glazed, has a 70,000 litre underground water tank, grid connect solar power, evacuated tube HWS, grey/black water treatment plant and is very well cross ventilated. The home is orientated with living areas and bedrooms facing the North and eaves designed to let winter sun in while minimizing the hot summer sun.
Eco Edge Homes were appointed to construct all the external landscaping on this project, consisting of two dry river creek beds, extensive decking and retaining walls, paving, rock beds and plantings.
Eco Edge Homes would like to thank all the tradesmen, consultants and suppliers who helped bring this project to final completion.
